Sharing Music

Yesterday on the bus to a beach in Napoli
my daughter sang along to Lady Gaga with
a girl in her group to whom she's become close.
When we spoke by phone this morning,
I was so intrigued by the easy way she talked
about "my sister this" and "his brother that"
and "I cooked with my host mother today."

  2. your daughter is absolutely beautiful. so, too, is your writing. i loved "the house on paddington."

i used to come to your neck of the woods quite frequently, but have not been there in quite a while. which isn't good. such texture there.
