Malia's Dad

I think this moment is a thing to behold.
She's growing up, but Dad still has her covered.

  1. Let me be the first to comment if I may.
Fred pulled me aside the other day just to watch our President and his daughter at the King Memorial dedication. He remarked about how beautiful she was. I was thinking about your daughter.
See, you are always my mind.

  3. you look at this, and you think: how can a man who holds his daughter's hand like that be anything but what we hoped/knew he was? he still is that man.
(and didnt she get her fair share of the height genes! wow--a strong and graceful woman--like her mother...)

  4. What a sweet moment captured there, I love their body language. My goodness, she is almost as tall as he is, when did that happen?

  5. I agree with Mark. She could be your younger daughter, she has an uncanny ressemblance to your daughter.
I love this president. He's getting it hard, unfairly. I adore him. He's one of the better ones.

  6. She looks so much like him. And yes, she reminds me of your daughter too. Both beauties. It's nice to see a teenage girl still willing to hold her parent's hand in public! Thanks for sharing this

  10. i love him, too. and i'm going to vote for him again too. not that i think he has done everything right, but i think even the wrong decisions he has made (wrong by my lights) were made for the right reasons. and that republican field, who can take them seriously?

but apart from all the politics, i just really like and admire the man, his heart, his devotion to his wife and daughters, his smarts, his humor and charm, his unwillingness to brawl just because everyone thinks he should. the man is civil. it's who he is. he's decent and that rare public servant who is actually trying to serve the people.

so yeah. i'm part of the choir. not like you didn't know that, though. :)

  11. He is so sleek, and strong...my husband and I were talking about him last night, not so much about politics but about how damn classy our president, his lovely wife, and his beautiful girls are. We're lucky. I'm so, so proud. And yeah, I'll vote for him again. In a heartbeat.
