HONY

If you aren't following Humans of New York on Instagram or Facebook or Tumblr start now. Go back two weeks and read the story that Brandon, the photographer and storyteller who created the site, and a boy named Vidal from a rough neighborhood in New York, set in motion. I am in tears at today's post. Just weeping I am so moved. No matter what the news says, there is goodness in our midst. Never doubt it.

  1. I love Human's of New York! I follow Brandon's site on Tumblr and on Facebook. Isn't that a great picture of President Obama, Vidal & Ms. Lopez!!!!!

  2. I love that site and his beautiful interviews and his great big heart but what he's done now with that boy and that school makes me weep, too. And have hope for us. I am astounded at him and at how he shows us again and again that we are the most beautiful of creatures, without exception.

  3. My kids got the book for me last Christmas. The stories are so moving. And blessings to all the Vidal's out there. Bigger blessings to all the teachers who are tired and weary but forge on making a difference.

  4. Love it! I also saw the clip from Ellen DeGeneres show where Ms. Lopez talked about how close she was to giving up, and how knowing the impact she was having on Vidal and others changed her life.
