One year

My brother wrote this on Facebook today. It says everything.

One year ago you took your last breath as I held you. Life stripped of all its trappings, the emblems of mortality condensed. So misleading if you don't know. A speck in the passage of time, but a huge hole in the lives of those you touched. Dearly beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, relative, or friend, you are gone but never forgotten. You live on in our memories and thoughts daily. We all miss you so much.

Tears.

  3. Beautiful. Tears here too-I don't even have to know her to understand she must have been a wonderful woman to inspire such a tribute.

  4. Oh, it is so, so hard and sad. I think, for me, 4 1/2 years later I am finally learning to live a good life without my mom. Don't get me wrong, I like my life with her in it way better but this life is OK too.
My biggest wish for you that you get to that place as well. So much love you.

  5. I've been thinking of you today, Rosemarie, sending you love as your mourn your mother's passing again, this year and onward.

  6. Hold your memories close, and be kind to yourself.

It's been eight months since I lost my dad, and what I can say now is ... I would not wish him back, as he was suffering - but I wish he was not gone.
