I LOVE..."Never apologize, never explain." I LOVE that. I wish I'd learned that writing lesson somewhere along the line. I loved it.Radish Kinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06534752971317927559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9107151958453669111.post-20429805055389082752013-01-26T12:56:23.186-05:002013-01-26T12:56:23.186-05:00That sounds like a group I would have liked to be ...That sounds like a group I would have liked to be part of when I was that age. Unfortunately there was none I knew of so I just wrote my poems and kept them to my self. Or wrote them about topics I felt were safe to share - political stuff mostly.

I liked the Blanco poem a lot. Have those critics read any poetry recently?? Although his poem brought to mind poets from the 30s and 40s when it was ok to be broad and inclusive in American poetry.
Kristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06413795611563683135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9107151958453669111.post-69110220787064353052013-01-26T11:47:39.505-05:002013-01-26T11:47:39.505-05:00I'll just come right out and say it- there'...I'll just come right out and say it- there's a whole lot of poetry I don't get. But I loved that Richard Blanco poem. And I honestly don't think there is any way to judge poetry except for on such a personal level that I wouldn't ever even try. Just because I like something or don't doesn't make it one thing or another.

I've said it before and I'll say it again- your daughter is a lucky girl to have those friends, the opportunities to be herself and supported in that and above all, you and her daddy who have made that all possible.
Good morning, Angella. I am sending love. Ms. Moonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09776404747858099919noreply@blogger.com
