This is what my daughter made at her job today and brought me home: salmon poached with cilantro, lime, honey and garlic and paired with a massaged kale, quinoa, pomegranate and avocado salad in a light honey mustard vinaigrette. Oh my. Who knew I even liked kale?!
Dang! I want me some of that!
ReplyDeleteI didn't ever think I liked kale either but it's so easy to grow that we're eating a lot of it either in salads with other greens or cooked with other greens. It can be very good.
Oh, my mouth is watering! Your daughter must be a genius.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, hold on, the passage of time can be remembered with joy and sorrow. I know you know this. It's hard not to turn the corner and see them, but what a joy to remember the love. It will never leave you completely (thank God).
Ever had a kale, banana and strawberry smoothie?? salad in a glass. Your daughter's food is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOooh that looks so good! I love me some kale. I eat it all the time in the summer. This post made me miss it. Think I might be shopping tomorrow. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful looking - and healthy! - food. Kudos to your daughter!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Kale can be surprisingly scrumptious, it's not just all hype!
ReplyDeleteI like kale cooked in soup or chopped up very fine like in your beautiful salad! Your daughter has so much talent, doesn't she?
ReplyDeleteI just ate a turkey sandwich and I am hungry all over again...
ReplyDeleteOh, man, that sounds great. And I love kale!
ReplyDeleteYum. Beautiful. And kale can be weirdly addictive...
ReplyDeleteI need someone to make me food like that. Swoon...
ReplyDeleteUm, will she please come and cook for me? That looks amazing.
