I'm suddenly swamped by work again, and have fallen behind on reading your posts. I'll be back around soon. In the meantime, here's a photo of a young Kamala Harris. Our next vice president has always been a badass. I'll be watching her acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention tonight, and also Elizabeth Warren and President Obama. I hear that Obama will be pulling no punches in his address this evening. I'm so here for it.
Also, while I'm posting pictures of current political stars in their fierce youth, how
about this one of our next first lady, Jill Biden, who gave a wonderful
speech last night. "How do you heal a broken country?" she asked. How I
ache for a return to compassion, intellect, and decency in the
political sphere.
And
here's one more photo currently making the rounds, in the vein of women who slay with their brilliance and commitment. Michelle Obama, my Forever First Lady, isn't running
for office this year, but she's still a force to be reckoned with. All
these women are incredibly beautiful beings, and you know what makes
them so? The righteous fire coming through them.
two gorgeous intelligent capable women. we are so lucky to have them on our side.
ReplyDeleteWow. I mean...really!
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing women. I'm so glad that they will have at least a part of how our country is run for the next four years.
I have hope.
IT IS TIME!!! I do love this, thank you! Distant hug- kiss on the cheek- now we go out and do our bad ass voting, kick the mofos to the curb!!
ReplyDeleteThey look so powerful and confident. We should have them run the country!
ReplyDeleteIt is overdue for these women...they are the only reason I harbor any hope for this country now.
ReplyDeleteI, for one, would like to see women like this running the country. It is time for the current crop of politicians to sit down. I love all of those photos.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad for their presence right now. They are our hope.
