My girl and I are going away to a place where there is a long and winding lazy river. My daughter said, "The last time I was on a lazy river, I only got out because, well, it was starting to look a little wrong for me to stay in any longer, but with you, I don't have to worry about that. I swear I'm going to ride that water all day long." And I'll be right there flowing along beside her.
Sounds perfectly perfect.
ReplyDeleteIt will be indeed, Mary!
DeleteI would like to go too. The photo is inviting!
ReplyDeleteJoanne, I can hardly wait to get in the water!
DeleteThere's something about the water that draws us somehow. Ocean, river, lake - it's all good. Have a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteThanks, jenny—o, and yes, water is water, ocean or not. It washes away our cares.
DeleteIf you ever get a chance to go tubing on a natural lazy river, like the crystal-clear Ichetucknee in Florida, do it! It's an amazing experience to watch fish and turtles swimming beneath you as the trees pass overhead. Meanwhile, enjoy your trip, wherever it may be! (I'm curious to know!)
ReplyDeleteI can imagine a natural lazy river would be divine! In the absence of that, a man made one will do just fine, I think, especially with such divine company. We're staying at a cousin's time share in Orlando—going to your home state.
DeleteSounds fabulous! Have a great time
ReplyDeleteOh, lovely...and what a wonderful thing to share...Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd join you, that looks fun.
