Cooking Club

My daughter baked tonight for her Monday cooking club meeting at school. The theme is Mexican anything, so she made tres leches cakes with dulce de leche buttercream frosting. And they were divine. I told her when she opens her bakery, this will be one of the offerings for which she will be known far and wide. She can add this one to her chocolate salted caramel cupcakes and her key lime coconut cupcakes and her rainbow swirl cupcakes. She already has a repertoire! And she's really starting to master that piping.

  1. If she creates an online bakery, I will be there! Now I want cupcakes! Not just any cupcakes, but THESE cupcakes! Why do we have to be 3000 miles away? It just doesn't seem fair!

    Love and big hugs,
    Debbie

  2. Having a baker/knowing a baker really does make life a whole lot better, doesn't it? There's something so lovely and comforting about having one around. Great food makes life so much better.

  5. beautiful cupcakes. My cousins daughter started baking school in Toronto (or should that be culinary college?) this year. She keeps posting photos of delicious looking baked goods too. Wish I could reach into the computer and grab a cupcake!

  6. How come I live within walking distance and yet I never get a taste of these treats?! Mental note -- crash your apartment on Monday nights.

  8. Let me know when that bakery opens....I'll be the first one in the door! (I used to be part owner of a bakery called "Two Tartes" -- great wonderful fun and the most work I've ever done in my life.)
