    EVERY time you post a photo of her, no matter the age, I am always struck by her eyes. They are like intense velvet -- and crushingly beautiful. How's that for a metaphor?

    I'm right with you there. Well, almost. Mine will be 17 soon. She looked at colleges last week. Completely freaks me out. Makes me want to look at her baby pictures.
