“It is one of the secrets of Nature in its mood of mockery that fine weather lays a heavier weight on the mind and hearts of the tormented than does a really bad day with dark rain sniveling continuously and sympathetically from a dirty sky.”

I have to ask- so who is the boss now?
ReplyDeleteHow worrisome. Such shake-up.
And the blizzard. Please be careful. I am worrying.
So as you can see, I deleted the text of that post. It's probably most prudent not to comment on work stuff right now, but yeah, there is definitely a shake up going on. We'll see how it shakes out...
DeleteI am, too. Worried that is. I am hoping all is well there and sending you warm, dry fuzzies and wishes for consistent electricity and running water.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kimberly. The snow is so much better than the rushing rain. It's sort of peaceful where I am, for which i am grateful.
DeleteWhat a great quote!
ReplyDeleteI hope you can stay inside and watch it swirl around you w/o mishap.

Wow, what powerful words. Sending safe wishes to you and your family. S, Jo
ReplyDeleteOh, I wish I hadn't missed the part of the post about work, but I completely understand why you took it down.
ReplyDeleteI love that photo, with the red umbrella! Hope you're staying inside, warm and comfortable. :)
One of my absolute favorite memories was going outside, after being at someones house all day & evening, and being the first one to walk and drive across freshly fallen snow. It was like a winter wonder-land. And the crackling sound of the tires on the snow was wonderful. I had rolled the window down so that I could hear it. I can still smell that air, if that makes sense. I live in Southern California now, so I don't get any of that anymore. :) Please enjoy it, but be very careful and safe out there. Sending love, my friend. ~
