"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face...You must do the thing you think you cannot do."

—Eleanor Roosevelt

  1. A wonderful quote Angella...
I hope you are through the worst of it. Hope you are looking at the beautiful faces on this screen and feeling that and feeling all the love everyone is sending your way.
    me too.

  2. I believe that is true. However, I will admit that I only do it when I am forced to. Does that count?

  3. just reading this quote, i felt my shoulders draw back, my neck elongate, my chin tilt forward.
she was a very strong woman. and altho i am not sure we *always* have to do the thing we think you cannot do--i think when we do face the fear that we will fail or crumble or disappear, that we become just a bit taller, a bit tougher, a bit more in touch with who we are.
sometimes just waking up into a new day is enough evidence of our strength.
