The Quann Sisters


Identical twins Cipriana and Takenya Quann of Brooklyn are stunningly gorgeous and they're revolutionizing fashion. Those sweet faces. The sisterly body language. The vintage layering. That crown of hair! Yes, it's all their own. These pics are from their website, Urban Bush Babes. I'm mesmerized.

      Birdie, I was reading about their hair regimen, and apparently their hair is "feather light." I gather it's a question they get asked often. I'm so fascinated by the volume of it. They look so regal to me.

      Elizabeth, i love that they aren't afraid to be unconventional. Apparently they were told they had to cut their hair if they wanted to work in the fashion industry, but they held out, and now they are more in demand than if they looked like everybody else. I also just love how they are together, the obvious sister love.

    They look gorgeous! I read about them last week and first thing that came to mind was "they could be Angella's nieces". I am very happy about this new generation of beautiful and relatable black women. I missed it when I was a teen because there were few black women in the punk scene. I would have thrived if I were a teen now. Anyway. I hope you are doing well. I am sorry about your apartment issues but I guess it kept your mind busy so heh. Who knows.

    They are gorgeous and I am in agreement that they could be members of your family! I just saw a TV episode about unique people and there was a woman with the longest dreads in the world. It was awesome. These girls look like they are headed there as well. It would be cool to be a twin and be in the spotlight and have each other's back. Keep sharing. Beautiful!

      Joanne, they do have a lot of hair! But they don't wear dreads, apparently. The one sister wears two strand twists and the other does a freestyle upsweep. Their hair fascinates me! It's so abundant and beautiful!
