Last night I texted her:
I miss your mug.
She replied:
I'm on a bus. The retreat is this weekend.
Today she messaged me these two photos and this series of texts:
Lol I wore your fave jacket.
In one of the workshops the woman reminded me of you. i kept giggling.
Gahaha i was imagining you giggling at peoples jokes. i'm having so much fun!
Off to tai chi.
Life can be so uncomplicated.
If my babies are happy, I am happy.
Simple.
I'm with you there.
ReplyDeleteIt's so simple in this one regard, if we're lucky. Thanks, Dr. Kimberly.
DeleteAmen, sister.
ReplyDeleteRight? Hugs, Mary Moon.
DeleteI don't know whether to laugh or cry, to tell you the truth. Silly and poignant, and I'm so old.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, I know. Your comment reminds me of your post about the high school kids. They glow with youth. But you glow too. Believe it.
DeleteThis makes me smile, for though I am much older than your college-age girl, at 32 and a frequent texter of my mother, I imagine this is exactly how she feels. And that makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteSJ trust me, you make your mother very happy! I hope my girl will still be texting me at 32, which is still fabulously young by the way! Thanks also for your insights in your comment the other day about my son.
DeleteI hope my daughters and I can have similar interactions one day.
ReplyDeleteShe does look great in that jacket.
B, I am absolutely sure you will have such convos! Your daughters are awesome and so cool!
