Send Love
That's my husband's dad with our daughter when she was three. I love the way his hand envelops hers. My husband and my son are named after this man, and I feel honored every day that they carry the name of such a fine and noble family man. He and my mother-in-law had a great love story. Such a beautiful couple they always were. This is the man who taught my husband how to be a man. This is the man who is my husband's hero, who never let him down. This is the man who stopped his car on a country road to wade across a pond and pick the perfect lilies to surprise his wife, something my husband witnessed as a boy and never forgot. Dad isn't feeling so well today. Please send prayers or healing thoughts. Please send your love.
Update on Friday: Dad is reportedly on the mend. Thank you all for the generous good wishes for his recovery.
